About the AppData module

The AppData module is a collector that automatically enriches tracking data with essential application metadata. It gathers application-specific information from the app bundle and makes it available to all tracking events.

Initialize

The AppData module initializes automatically when it is configured. No code changes are required for most integrations. Configure the module in the Tealium platform UI, or bundle a local JSON configuration file with your app.

Advanced: programmatic initialization

To force the module to initialize with default values, even when no platform or local JSON configuration is present, add it to the modules list in your TealiumConfig. Adding the module to TealiumConfig is useful for testing or when you need to set values dynamically at runtime.
