Salesmachine Connector Setup Guide

This article describes how to set up the Salesmachine connector in your Customer Data Hub account.

Configure Settings

Go to the Connector Marketplace and add a new connector. Read the Connector Overview article for general instructions on how to add a connector.

After adding the connector, configure the following settings:

  • API Token
    You can find your Salesmachine project’s API Credentials in Administration > API Keys in your Salesmachine dashboard. For more information, visit: Salesmachine’s documentation
  • API Secret
    You can find your Salesmachine project’s API Credentials under Administration > API Keys in your Salesmachine dashboard. For more information, visit: Salesmachine’s documentation.

Action Settings - Parameters and Options

Click Next or go to the Actions tab. This is where you configure connector actions.

This section describes how to set up parameters and options for each action.

Action - Create or Update a Contact

Parameters

Parameter Description
Contact UID
  • Unique identifier referring to a contact.
  • It must match a unique ID in your application, like database ID or email address.
  • For more information on this endpoint, visit: Salesmachine’s documentation.
Attributes
  • Contact attributes to be added or updated.
  • You can send any parameter, such as Title, Registered At, Position, et cetera.

Action - Send Event

Parameters

Parameter Description
Contact UID
  • Unique identifier referring to a contact.
  • It must match a unique ID in your application like database ID or email address.

Event UID
  • Event name.
Event Data
  • Additional attributes associated with the event.
  • You can send any parameter. Please note that Salesmachine automatically detects parameter type.
  • For timestamp, use seconds or milliseconds since Unix epoch (as an integer) or ISO 8601 dates as a string.
